Why Raw Honey?
Raw honey has been used for centuries for its healing properties and can address multiple issues:
Heating honey kills essential enzymes and nutrients that are beneficial to your body. Most commercial producers heat vats of honey to make it easier to bottle. They also filter out all the microscopic particles of pollen, propolis, and pretty much everything else. What is left is crystal clear and void of anything good.
Taking raw honey is a healthy way to get an energy boost. Its carbohydrates supply us with energy and strength. Raw honey can boost your endurance and reduce muscle fatigue. Raw honey has also been used as a home remedy for centuries to help alleviate some of the symptoms associated with the common cold.
If you have allergies, raw honey can be beneficial. If you eat honey that is local to your area, it may help prevent your seasonal allergies. Bees use the pollen from local plants and eventually it ends up in your honey.
Raw honey is also a natural antiseptic. Raw honey contains antimicrobial agents, which prevent infections by killing the bacteria in and around your wounds. Many types of bacteria can’t survive in honey, so wounds heal, swelling eases, and tissue can grow back.
